Because Conservation Anti-Reflective uses a micro-etched matte texture to scatter light, how far it sits from your artwork matters:
- Ideal Use (Zero Blur): When placed over a single 4-Ply Crescent Select® Matboard (1/16" gap) or directly over a poster, the image remains crisp and glare-free.
- When NOT to Use Matte Non-Glare: Do not use matte non-glare acrylic on deep 3D shadow boxes (like sports jerseys) or triple mats—as the distance between the matte surface and the art increases, the diffused light softens fine details. For deep shadow boxes or 100% invisible clarity, choose Tru-Vue® Optium Museum Acrylic® instead!
